Art...and a bit of philosophy.

Gallery: Laguna de Santa Rosa

The Laguna is a special feature of the area between Santa Rosa and Sebastopol, California. In the rainy season it floods broad areas – not quite Venice, Italy, but definitely a water world. In the dry California summers, the Laguna shrinks into contained waterways, providing opportunities for boating and wonderful woodsy walks.

I’ve done a lot of painting there, too. This group of eleven includes four oils on Belgian linen and seven mixed mediums, using pastels, watercolors, and oils. (One more is in the abstract section.) Clicking can enlarge small images.
