Art...and a bit of philosophy.

Gallery: Dillon Beach

I’ve been retreating to a house at Dillon Beach for two weeks in May since 2006 to escape the inland pollens for the clean air of the coast – and for marathon painting. My photographic record of the results is spotty; here are a few. (A couple of others from DB are in the abstract section.) My personal favorite among these five is still “Seaside House” from 2006, now owned by Jody Foster and John Ryan of Seattle, Wash.

All are oils on Belgian linen. All except “Tomales Bay” also use pastels for initial sketching and, in one case (“Estero San Antonio”), much more. Clicking can enlarge small images.
